see through material Posted by kapples on Feb 18, 2009
Hey, got a question, where can I get the see through material that goes on a stage where the puppeteer can see out, but cannot be seen?

Hello,
Im a Punch & Judy performer and in my booth I use a fabric called aida. You would need something like 18 count - you can find this stuff on ebay. Its used for cross stitching & has small weaves which you can paint on. Water down your paints so you do not fill in the holes. You will need good black out from behind so you can see out whilst performing.

Cheers,
Daniel

Billy,

you had the right website http://www.studio-productions-inc.com/white_papers/wp_painting_scrim.html for information on scrim fabrics.

But while you're there, find the 800 number and talk to Sue. You can learn more about scrims than you ever thought. We're using Chameleon scrim which we paint ourselves.
