New Doll - Eleanor Posted by Rosie H on Feb 03, 2010
Hey all, just thought I'd post a picture of a new doll I made this week, the pattern is from Blue Heron Dolls, http://www.etsy.com/shop/blueherondolls

The pattern is intermediate and really easy to follow, button jointed, trapunto technique is used for 3d nose and forehead,

Are there any other dollmakers on this forum I wonder?

I love her! I'm not a doll maker but I'm studying how to.

I think we used to have a couple doll makers around.  Not sure if they still visit or not.

Great doll!  She looks a little bit like you... Ok maybe it is just the dreads and the beautiful smile.

Nice job.
I've tried working on art dolls using polymer clay in the past, but I've never gotten further than the head.

You're all really kind, thank you for your compliments
@gompie... art pencils, trapunto and soft sculpting makes up her face.
I took her to an expo on wednesday, in Bathsheba, St. Joseph (Barbados of course, lol) glorious day! Stunning view. I was invited by the craft council. I sold a couple of dolls and two puppets, made some contacts, and got a request for a story telling gig coming up in Queens Park at the end of the month. Very productive day!
