It is not sewn,, fully attached with hot glue. I'm makinf now a Na'vi from avatar

The heads and body look to be three dimensional. What are they made out of?

they are porexpan/polyestiren¿? balls recoverd with this type of foam and glued with hot glue..

ahhh, I was wondering the same ,Shawn. cristina1984, do you have to heat the foam to get it to stretch? (necesitas  calientar la espuma para que se estira bien en la  forma esferico?) The policewoman's costume is really  great.
