What a fun idea! I really love the detail on her puppets. I'll have to look into seeing if she has any videos of her shows. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for coming - can you tell me more about the kind of light you use, and how ergonomic it is (do you get a sore back at all? Sore neck?)
I'm also doing shadow puppets, and whilst I'm not a performer I really love the idea of using a suitcase for shows.

Hi, as you guessed - when the sun is shining I do not need the electric light. For dim/indoor conditions I use the battery powered fluorescent strip light. Unfortunately, the place I got it from doesn't sell them any more - & I am on the look out for a new one so let me know if you come across any. I think they were designed for caravans and so on. Most similar things on sale these days use LEDs but if you have multiple LEDs you get multiple shadows which is not suitable.
The suitcase straps are not supported round the neck - it is difficult to see in the picture. The shoulder straps cross over at the back and there is another strap round the waist too. The weight is mainly on the shoulders so after performing for a while the main discomfort is aching shoulders.

Never really had thought about the fact the most LED lamps/lights are multiple light sources. You would think they are close enough together to cast a single shadow. LED seems to be about all you can get in portable lighting now.

Thanks Collette. I also use a striplight, but so far haven't found any local that are battery-operated and portable, just plug-in.
Ah yes, the suitcase straps are indeed around your shoulders and not your neck, my mistake. I can imagine it would get very tiring after a day of holding up the puppets and the suitcase. Still, it looks like you're having fun and your audience is enjoying themselves so it's all worth it
