That is pretty amazing. One of the comments on that video was that he foresaw YouTube and it really is true.

Congrats to the new couple!
I love the simple design of the cake with the topper on it. Very nice!

It is good to hear that Becki is almost through treatment. I know she'll be happy it is over and start feeling better once done.
Sorry you took a hit by the hurricane. I guess you got water damage. Hope it was not too extensive. Wish I had an extra laptop I could send you.
We are thinking of you.

I actually have an iPad now. I may have to check this app out. Not real sure about their claims of being able to entertain a kid with it though.
Re: Questions Posted in Questions on Sep 07, 2011
It sounds to me like in this thread you are asking how to manipulate the puppet and not just make it. You are right there is not much out there on this subject. Even books on puppetry often simply skim over this puppetry type.
First you need to know the hand position for glove puppets. In the head of the puppet would be your pointer finger (some people also use the index finger along with it) You thumb and pinky go in the arms/hands of the puppet.
My best suggestion is once you get your puppet made put it on your hand and stand in front of the mirror and move it around. Very soon you be coming up with movements and positions that indicate emotions.

Yes there are laws against what Puppet Productions did and yes the "goverment" could have taken action but depending on the available evidence and resources of the local government they may not have done anything. I am sure this is even common in Australia. Sometimes the public prosecutors office feel they have bigger fish to fry so to speak. Also even when they do undertake something like this it still takes an individual or individuals that are willing to make a complaint and follow through. I am sure you have heard many stories of folks being abused physically yet the law/government could not do anything about it because the individual was not willing to press charges.

I belong to PofA for awhile back about ten years ago. They are a pretty good organization. Went to a couple of the festivals when I was still evolved with them. I actually designed one of of the incarnations of their site for them back then. It has changed several times since them. Nice to see they have added a bulletin board. It was one thing I tried to convince them to do at the time.

I've never heard of this video before but Puppeteers of America has it listed in their store although it is marked Sold Out. http://store.puppeteers.org/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=18&products_id=317 You should contact them and see if they know when they might have more. I think they are the publishers of it.

Kyle,
Please always feel free to share your set designs even if they are not for a puppet show. Heck that is why I added "Stuff" to the name of the site. I really do feel it is all interconnected. Quite frankly your set would make a great bridge marionette set up.
How often do you end up also being the scenic artist on shows you design. Seems you have mentioned painting on shows before and I know that my housemate who is also a scenic designer often ends up having to paint a show.

Re: Question about gallery Posted in Question about gallery on Aug 30, 2011
Billy is right about how to find someones specific Gallery. The link for the Gallery Album would be at the bottom of the persons Profile. Also don't forget that if they do have an Album of photos you'll see a camera icon in the info that is listed next to each of their post. I use that quite often to look at folks pictures.
Now if you are using the Gallery Image button to insert an image from someone then in the pop up window you need to use the drop down under Subalbums to find where you want to go and then hit Go. User Albums is where all the users upload their images so you go there first then find their username and select it then hit go again.
