Welcome Mark to Puppets and Stuff! Great introduction, I see you are going to be a great contributor to the community!
Higher end professional puppets can be difficult to offer in a step up like yours. As rule they are one of a kind and purchased by commission. It would be great if you and someone like Sonny could connect and be able to work out the logistics of offer such a product.
Na would be a great resource for Shadow Puppets and I agree with here that you don't often see them for sell. I think it is because people can't envision how to use them in a mass market environment. One idea that comes to my mind would be to market them to school teachers. A small shadow screen set up with a group of shadow puppets that can be used to tell the story of a current book that teachers are reading to their students. I think you would need to keep the shadows simple, Na so even a teacher would feel they could operate them. Just a glimmer of an idea but thought I would throw it out there.
Again welcome to Puppets and Stuff Mark!

I doubt they are on this forum, since they do not make their own puppets.
Remember you don't have to be a puppet builder to be a member of Puppets and Stuff. I would bet the majority of our members do not make their own puppets. Everyone is welcome here!
Herbert Fritz Bross Posted in Herbert Fritz Bross on Mar 10, 2010
Our new member Helmut Schmidt recently read an article on Herbert Fritz Bross and was looking for images of his puppets. I found some stuff but wanted to get everyone else involved in the hunt. First I found a Wikipedia entry but it is the German version of Wikipedia. It has three images on it.
Article: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz_Herbert_Bross
The other place I found some images where over at the Center for Puppetry Arts site. Click the links to view more info and larger images.

Evil Bird: http://www.puppet.org/museum/VeWebsite/exhibit4/e40038a.htm
Ok my puppet friends, see what you more you can find. There has to me more information out there on the web.

Bay Area organizaniztion looking for puppets. Posted in Bay Area organizaniztion looking for puppets. on Mar 10, 2010
I received an email from Silvia Merschon of Generations Community Wellness and thought I would pass it on here in the forum.
She did also provide her email to me but I just don't like posting email addresses publicly. Too tempting for the spammers. I can pass it on to anyone who may be interested. Actually if you are really smart and look at her first name in lower case and then "at" it to gteams.org which seems to be a second domain they use, you should be able to cipher out the email address. Don't you just love a riddle?
Also this was in a second email she sent.
I'll let here know that the post is here if she wants to monitor it but it would be best to contact her direct.
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Silvia Merschon and I work for a small non-profit organization in
Sunnyvale, CA. We work on educating the community around health and
wellness. Currently we are working on the development of a program for young
children called Movetrition that teaches children about fruits and
vegetables as well as incorporating lots of physical activity.
For this program we would like to develop various fruit and vegetable
puppets. I was wondering if this was something you would be willing to work
with us on. I would love to get more information about this and see if we
can work with you in the future.
Kind Regards,
--

We need someone that can design few puppets (hand) fruits and veggies, to be precise: an apple, carrot, corn, broccoli, blueberry and banana.
I'll let here know that the post is here if she wants to monitor it but it would be best to contact her direct.

Ok I fanned you (that sounds kind of silly), but you have to promise to come back and tell us more here about your puppets. Also I modified your post so the link would show up right.
