I agree with you Shawn. It takes a long time to build a fan base, and it takes maintaining. You have to enjoy the process. You will get criticism, and you will slowly build your viewer base. I have not found any formula to having puppets watched. Any puppets I have uploaded get very low counts, but having them in Spanish might have alot to do with that.

Cool PoorFishy, what stage are you up to in your movie?
Hupaditty, make sure your audio records well. Bad audio kills things. If you can't record with mic direct to the camera, record to a laptop or recorder and replace the onboard audio of the camera in the edit. Another thing that can kill a video is poor lighting. Even though puppets are smaller than people, you still need a reasonable amount of light,( except where you want it dark of course,) but don't overdo it as you can blast the image out and get harsh shadows and stuff.all the other suggestions are great... and practice is the best school.

Cool stuff guys. Yes Shawn, you should think about doing a tutorial on using the clay model process for making your patterns. I'd be interested in that.

Interesting slant. Thelast I saw of her was when I was working in transmission of a local TV station in NZ. She appeared in episodes of Gerbert, I think it was, which was a Christian kids show.
Re: Puppeteer on Australia's Got Talent Posted in Puppeteer on Australia's Got Talent on May 28, 2012
Na , I am suprised that there is only one puppet on Australian TV at present. If there was an attempt at making a 'Dark Crystal sequel' in OZ, where are all the puppeteers and production? In Colombia we have maybe three major Kids TV shows with puppets, and an adult political satire. We are the only puppeteers on Christian TV at the moment, but there have been a few groups over the years. Last year I was approached at least three times about getting new puppet programs started, so interest is growing. In a couple weeks I will be attending a puppeteer's conference for the first time.(I just joined the Colombian association of puppeteers) It will be interesting to see who else has been working here long and full time.
