So does your friend do this for other folks?

I think I would simply respond that it is a custom design that you don't offer a pattern for and that if some time in the future you decide to offer it you'll let them know. I see no problem with that. I have puppets that I've made for shows and while I might be willing to give a person an answer to a specific question about something like what material I used in making it I wouldn't feel obligated to give them a step by step about how I made it. Don't forget that one way that you do make money is from your designs that you do sell as patterns.

Well I doubt they are going to except any credentials I may make up. I guess it might be fun though to have some sort of membership card though that folks could print off if they wanted.

If you do end up with such a wide age range, why not use the older kids as partners for the younger kids. If you end up with some really responsible older kids this could really work to your advantage. They end up help you manage things.

Re: information on a puppet Posted in information on a puppet on Feb 05, 2012
Hmm... I wasn't able to find any hint either. I did post a message over at Puppet Hub for you though. http://www.puppethub.com/forum/topics/anyone-recognize-this-puppet There are quite a few collectors over there so perhaps one of them might recognize it. Can you give us any more information yourself. For example, where are you located? Is it in the states or are you overseas? Did your friend say where they found the puppet head? These might help us narrow things down some.
Re: Puppetry Jobs Posted in Puppetry Jobs on Feb 04, 2012
Well applying to Henson is a good step. I would also suggest opening up the Yellow Pages and looking for puppetry companies in your area and contacting them. For example there is a company here in Kansas City MO that often hires puppeteers and actors called StoneLion Puppet Theater. Not all cities have companies that do enough work that allows them to hire but it never hurts to know who is around locally. Even if they are not hiring you should keep in contact with other puppeteers in your area.
Check out local children's theaters also. They often use puppetry in their productions.
From time to time we get folks who post about an opening here but not that often. So keep you eyes open here and at other puppetry sites for such opportunities.
