So folks what can we learn from this performance?

The puppet itself is not that complicated or elaborate yet the performance is very entertaining.  Notice how all the puppets actions are very concise and controlled. Is there more that makes the performance professional?  What do you think?

Does Dr. Puppets video show both blinking and moving combined?  I thought it was just the blinking part.  That being said it is worth getting.

What you want to do is possible and you do it the same way it is done on a vent doll or marionette.  I don't know that there are any on-line tutorials out there on combining the two.

Are all of these poly foam, or are some of them styro foam?  To me it sounds like maybe thy are all styro foam or similiar.  Styro is like what you get in packing materials.. the peanuts.  Poly foam is what you see in chair cushions or pillows.

All the items sound interesting and I am sure that they could be used for puppets.

You failed to specify "what" the machine was, but I'll assume you mean your laminate machine.

Did you change materials at all... plastic or board stock you are using for shadow puppets.  While $40.00 would be the low end of a laminate machines, it still should have lasted you at least a year. I the US you can go to office supply stores or printing stores (KinKos) and have them laminate things for you or even do it self serve.  Is there something like that in your area? That might get you past this emergency and then you could get your personal one fixed or replaced. You are right that it would cost more the fix it then to just buy a new one. If you can find the receipt it could be they would replace it for free.

Looking good!  Your puppets just keep evolving. You made a reference to some #1 versions of several of them.  I don't remember 1st Jingles or Stone Age.  I do really like their current forms though.
